Ryanair Holdings July Passengers Up 40%

LONDON -(Dow Jones)- Ryanair said Monday that the number of passengers carried in July rose 40% compared with the same month last year.

 

It carried 2,038,896 passengers compared with 1,456,771 in July last year and a load factor was 85% (2002:93%).

 

Internet sales as a percentage of total initial seat sales on the Ryanair internet site for the month of July increased to 94% (2002: 92%), the airline said.

 

For the rolling twelve months to 31 July passenger numbers came in at 17,909, 951 and the load factor was 83%. The overall internet sales for the year were 92%.

 

The load factor represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of seats available for passengers.
