Oktober 2003 Press Release von Air Baltic: (von deren Webseite http://www.airbaltic.com) 20/10/2003 airBaltic increases flights for the winter season and adds to the fleet another Fokker 50 and a Boeing 737 airBaltic winter timetable Riga, 20.10.03. - airBaltic will be introducing its new winter timetable on 26 October. The timetable features significant changes to a number of direct flights, and will be in force until 27 March 2004. During the winter timetable airBaltic will operate flights to Berlin and Hamburg every day of the week. airBaltic will fly to Tallinn twice daily during the working week. This will enable people from both Riga and Tallinn to make one-day business trips. The winter season also introduces more flights to Helsinki. airBaltic will fly to Vienna four times per week during the winter season, but intends to operate daily flights as soon as permission is received from the Austrian authorities. airBaltic introduces an additional Fokker 50 aircraft Latvian airline airBaltic's fleet will be supplemented by an additional Fokker 50 aircraft from 26 October. This will be the fifth Fokker 50 in airBaltic's fleet. In addition to the Fokker 50 aircraft, airBaltic's fleet also has three 70-seater AVRO RJ70 aircraft. These jet aircraft are British-built (by British Aerospace) and are powered by four turbofan engines. AVRO aircraft are among the world's most environmentally-friendly. The fleet will also be enhanced by the addition of an 120-seater Boeing 737-505 aircraft in mid-November. airBaltic in brief Latvian airline AIR BALTIC CORPORATION (airBaltic) is a joint stock company and was founded in 1995. The Latvian state owns 52.6% of the shares and 47.2% are owned by Scandinavian Airlines. In 2002, airBaltic's turnover was LVL28.6 million, and 262 212 passengers were carried. Currently airBaltic operates flights to Berlin, Brussels, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Helsinki, Kiev, Minsk, Moscow, Prague, Stockholm, Tallinn, Vienna, Vilnius and Warsaw. airBaltic will commence direct flights to Amsterdam on 20 November.
BU662 Geschrieben 14. November 2003 Autor Melden Geschrieben 14. November 2003 So nun Teil zwei der Facts: Gestern wurde die Boeing 737-505 von Stavanger nach Riga geflogen. Es ist übrigens die ex LN-BRJ, die jetzt als YL-BBB registriert worden ist. Die Maschine wurde komplett weiß mit blauen Engine-Cowls abgeliefert. Bis gestern abend waren noch keine Titel oder Logos aufgebracht. Zum Service Entry hab ich noch keine Infos. Aber die Maschine soll ausschließlich auf Kopenhagen-Riga eingesetzt werden. Vielen Lufthanseaten dürfte diese Maschine noch als D-ACBC in Erinnerung sein. Richard
