Hand-sliced smoked salmon and tiger prawn nigiri sushi

comes with pickled ginger and soy sauce. Served with a fillet

of char-grilled salmon with cucumber, caperberry and wasabi.

On the side a sesame soba noodle salad topped with lemongrass-

skewered tiger prawns marinated in Thai herbs and mixed

peppers.

 

Hmm...it makes you feel hungry, doesn't it? Well, contrary to what you might think,

this is not a dish from a four-star restaurant. It is one of our new high quality meals that you can order on-line and enjoy on-board.

 

What?

This new service, which we now offer to all Virgin Express-passengers, is called: D'Lish (think delicious!). It enables you to choose from one of ten gastronomic options - at a fair price - with a single mouse click. Dishes change with the seasons and only the finest ingredients are used. For children there is a special funbox, which contains tasty snacks, fruit and even games to entertain them during the flight.

How to order?

You can order your meal on-line when you book your flight, but if that is not convenient, you can also do so at any time up to 48 hours before departure. These meals must be pre-ordered so don’t forget to place your order in good time.

How do you get your meal on board?

Das Essen sieht auf jeden Fall sehr lecker aus, wenn auch die Verpackung etwas billig wirkt. An sich scheint mir das ein gutes Konzept zu sein, so kann man ja wenigstens selbst entscheiden, was man essen möchte. Allerdings scheint mir der Preis doch übertrieben hoch, z.B. für einen relativ kleinen Caesar Salad fast 13¤!

stimmt. Die Verpackung sieht nicht sehr einladend aus, erinnert an die Verpflegung, die man bei Snowflake kaufen kann. Aber das Angebot finde ich schon recht gut, da könnten V Bird, HLX, Gexx und Germanwings sich was abgucken.
