Wizz Air, Central and Eastern Europe's largest low fare – low cost airline announced today that it would start flying between Katowice and Oslo-Torp, starting on 19th September 2006. Norway will be the 18th European country served by Wizz Air and Sandefjord, close to Oslo, will be the airline's fourth Scandanavian city linked to Poland complementing Stockholm, Malmö and Gothenburg. The flights between Katowice and Oslo-Torp will operate three times a week initially starting on 19th September. Tickets are already on sale with one-way fares (including taxes and charges) starting from as low as EUR 29.9 on the airline's website, wizzair.com or through the Wizz Air call centre on +48 22 351 94 99. József Váradi, Chief Executive Officer of Wizz Air said: "I am excited to add Oslo-Torp to the routes from our first and largest base in Katowice. This announcement follows our earlier announcements opening flights to Cork and Sheffield-Doncaster from Southern Poland. Wizz Air opens new route from Budapest to Gothenburg 2006. 05. 22. Wizz Air, the largest low cost – low fare airline in Central and Eastern Europe announced today that it would launch a new flight between Hungary and Sweden. Starting on 19 September 2006, the Budapest-Gothenburg line will bring Wizz Air's number of Swedish routes to 8, flown from Hungary and Poland. Shortly after announcing Wizz Air's Warsaw-Gothenburg route earlier this spring, the airline decided to launch Budapest-Gothenburg. It will be the carrier’s 18th destination from Budapest, strengthening Wizz Air's largest low fare network offered from the Hungarian capital. Gothenburg will follow Stockholm-Skavsta and Malmö/Copenhagen in Wizz Air's services to Sweden from Budapest. The first flight to/from Göteborg City Airport will take off on 19 September 2006 and will be operated 3 times a week initially.
