Handgepäcksregelung ab GB (aber nicht London)

Íst jemand von Euch in diesen Tagen einmal von einem britischen Airport (nicht London) geflogen und kann etwas über die tatsächliche Handhabung des Handgepäcks sagen?

 

Ich fliege am kommenden Wochenende nach Birmingham. Ab Hamburg kann man soweit ich weiß Handgepäck mitnehmen, aber zurück sind laut Flughafen nur diese Dinge erlaubt:

 

Passengers will only be allowed to take the following items through the airport security search point:

 

• Travel documents essential for the journey (e.g. passports, tickets and visas);

• Pocket sized wallets and pocket sized purses plus contents (for example money, credit cards and identity cards). Handbags are not permitted;

• Prescribed medicines that are essential for the duration of the flight;

• Spectacles and sunglasses, but not their cases;

Contact lenses, without bottles of solution;

• For those travelling with infants: baby food, milk and sanitary items essential for the flight;

• Keys (but no electrical key fobs);

• Every other item must be carried in customer's hold luggage;

 

For clarity, passengers are advised that electrical or battery powered items including laptops, cameras, mobile phones, ipods, remote controls etc are required to be checked in as hold baggage and cannot be carried through security control.

 

Passengers may purchase goods and refreshments in the departure lounge; however, passengers for flights to the United States are advised that no liquids will be permitted through security search or on board aircraft.

 

 

Weiß jemand, ob das wirklich so strikt gehandhabt wird? Oder kann man Laptop und Kamera ggf. doch mit in die Kabine nehmen?

Ich habe es selbst noch nicht durchexerziert - bin am letzten Chaos-Donnerstag zum Glueck mit dem Eurostar auf den Kontinent gefahren, und heute nur in UK gelandet - aber was ich aus meinem Umfeld so hoere und was man sonst so liest, ist die Antwort auf Deine Frage "wird das strikt gehandhabt" ganz einfach: ja.

Hm, das ist aber noch länger hin, was bringt also die Information über die hier in den diversen Themen schon angeführten Regelungen. Aktuell wurden die ja auch gerade wieder angepasst und nur Flüssigkeiten/Gele sind wohl noch verboten. Was hat Dir Deine Fluggesellschaft für eine Auskunft gegeben?

Abflug ist der 18. August - und wenn ich heute schon wüßte, dass man wieder Kameras und Laptops mitnehmen darf, würde mir das eine große Sorge nehmen.

 

Laut Transportministerium ist ja die Sicherheitsstufe von kritisch auf ernst herabgesetzt worden, so dass es dort nun u.a. heißt:

 

Each passenger is permitted to carry ONE item of cabin baggage through the airport security search point.

 

All laptops and large electrical items (e.g. large hairdryer) must be removed from the bag and placed in a tray so that such items neither obscure nor are obscured by the bag.

Die Briten geben Entwarnung:

 

From Tuesday 15 August all UK airports will implement the new hand baggage policy:

 

Customers traveling will be able to take on board as hand baggage one cabin bag no bigger than 16cm by 35 cm by 45 cm, the size of a small laptop bag.

 

Cabin baggage MUST NOT contain:

 

Any cosmetics

Any toiletries

Any liquids

Any drinks

Cabin baggage CAN contain the following:

 

Electronic equipment, including laptops, mobile phones and portable music and DVD players,

Prescribed medicines in liquid form e.g. diabetic medicines

Baby milk and liquid baby food (the contents of each bottle MUST be tasted by the parent)

To help progress through the airport all customers are encouraged not to include items capable of containing liquids (e.g. bottles, flasks, cans etc.) in either their hand or checked baggage.

 

All electronic equipment will need to be removed from the item of hand baggage and screened separately. We recommend these items be packed carefully for easy removal at the security search point.

Ich bin aus Birmingham zurück und kann nun den tatsächlichen Stand der Handgepäcksregelung berichten.

 

Jeder darf ein Handgepäcksteil mitnehmen, 45*35*17cm.

 

Im Prinzip darf alles mit im Handgepäck durch die Security, AUSSER Flüssigkeiten (Getränke, Deos, Sprays, Cremes, Gels). Für den Flug notwendige Medikamente dürfen mit rein, ebenso Babynahrung, beides muss aber vor den Security-Beamten probiert werden. Elektrogeräte wie Laptops und Kameras dürfen mit rein, müssen ggf. vorgeführt werden. Die Schuhe müssen ausgezogen werden und werden gescannt.

 

Getränke etc. dürfen nicht mit durch die Security, aber im Wartelounge-Bereich gekauft, konsumiert und (wie wir gesehen haben) auch flaschenweise mit an Bord genommen werden.

 

Zeitaufwand: Zumindest in Birmingham war es so, dass am Terminal 2 (British Airways, KLM, Air France, Swiss, SN Brussels) recht wenig los war (kaum Wartezeit). Am Terminal 1 (vor allem Pauschal und Fernstrecken z.B. nach Indien, Pakistan, Russland) war viel mehr los, dort dauerte es wesentlich länger. Empfohlen wird, zwei Stunden vor Abflug da zu sein, was zumindest für Terminal 2 mehr als reichlich ist.
