BUZZ UNVEILS WINTER SCHEDULE

Introducing Amsterdam and permanently slashed fares.

buzz, the low cost airline that gives you more, today announced its 2002/2003 winter schedule (on sale from Tuesday 30th July 2002), unveiling massive, permanent price reductions of up to 43% and the launch of its brand new London-Amsterdam route. The reintroduction of its popular ski destinations, Chambery and Geneva, plus increased frequencies on successful business routes, Paris (CDG), Dusseldorf and Frankfurt, mean that buzz's winter schedule offers more choice and better value than ever before.

Delivering on its commitment to offer flyers more, buzz has slashed prices on 17 of its 22 winter routes by up to 43%. buzz fares on its most popular business routes now offer travel at up to half the cost of British Airways.

Says Tony Camacho, Commercial Director, buzz, "Following the success of the low costs, BA has been forced to cut the cost of a selection of its flights, albeit too little, too late. buzz has always championed the consumer and flyers are no longer prepared to accept fares which are still over priced – BA's fares are more than 50% higher than ours across the board which can be in excess of £200 at the top end of the scale. Does an inclusive sandwich really justify the difference? I'd rather have the option of purchasing a decent sandwich at around £3. buzz offers flyers excellent standards of service and continually low fares – value BA can only dream of offering".

As well as offering rock bottom fares to a host of destinations across Europe, buzz's winter schedule also sees the launch of a brand new route from London Stansted to the bustling city of Amsterdam – the second most popular city break destination for British travellers.

The new five-times-daily service commences on 27 October and will see fares as low as just £21 one way (including all taxes, insurance surcharge and internet booking discount).

And for those Brits praying for great powder this winter, buzz flights to Chambery in the heart of the French Alps and Geneva in Switzerland serving some of the biggest winter sports resorts in both the Swiss and French Alps recommence from 14 December 2002. Along with Grenoble (Alps), Toulouse (Pyrenees/Andorra) and Marseilles (Southern Alps), the two new routes allow buzz flyers access to an impressive range of ski resorts and facilities across Europe.

Due to their continued success, services to buzz's Spanish summer sun destinations, Murcia and Jerez, will continue throughout the winter while the frequency of flights to Paris (CDG) will increase from 4 to 5 flights daily and Frankfurt and Dusseldorf will increase from 3 to 4 flights daily, reflecting their popularity with business and leisure travellers alike.
