Sofia Airport Prolongs the Time of its Closure 7/3/2008 The inspection of the airside of Sofia Airport has completed. Sofia Airport and Air Traffic Services Authority are ready to open the airport for operations. A written approval from the crisis team of the Ministry of Defence is expected. The approval should state that the witnessed critical situation does not jeopardise aviation operations.
