Benötige Hilfe für Montreal (YUL)

Ich hoffe, ein Flugprofi kann meine Fragen beantworten, fliege selbst nur selten, also kaum Erfahrung!

Habe einen Flug von Hannover über Frankfurt und Montreal nach Fort Lauderdale mit AirCanada (Hannover-Frankfurt=Codeshare Lufthansa).

Wie läuft das nun mit dem Gepäck ab????

1. Ich gehe mal davon aus, dass es in Frankfurt weitergeleitet wird, und wir nichts damit zu tun haben (richtig???) :huh:

2. Kann auf der Seite vom Flughafen Montreal bzw. Air Canada nicht über das Gepäck finden, normalerweise muss man das doch entgegennehmen (Wegen USA-Einreise). Auf den Seiten steht in der Anleitung für Connecting Flights aber nichts davon. Hängt das vielleicht mit dem Neubau für US-Flüge in Montreal zusammen, dass das Gepäck tatsächlich weitergeleitet wird, oder muss ich das auch noch entgegennehmen, durch den Zoll und dann wieder aufgeben????

Wäre nicht so toll, wenn wir weiterfliegen und unser Gepäck in Montreal bleibt, weil wir es nicht geholt haben :( , da wir im Anschluss gleich auf ein Kreuzfahrtschiff wollen.

3. Online-Checkin funktioniert durch den Codeshare-Flug wohl nicht, oder???

If your flight originated outside Canada or the United States and you need to take a connecting flight to a U.S. destination, there are two possible options:

 

* If your airline offers the option of automatically transferring your luggage and you have a boarding pass for your connecting flight, you will be asked to proceed via a connecting flights corridor, avoiding Canadian Customs. You will, however, have to go through U.S. Customs. Your checked luggage will be transferred automatically by the baggage handling system. Note, however, that U.S. Customs officers are authorized to recall your luggage, if necessary, for manual inspection. If the Customs officers do not yet have the information on your luggage at hand, you will be asked to proceed to the waiting area.

* If your airline does not offer the option of automatically transferring your luggage, you must pick it up yourself from the carrousel, then follow the normal procedures for international arrivals, then for U.S. departures.
