China Airlines besstellt A330-300!!

China Airlines has decided to order up to 16 Airbus A330-300 this year for it's Asian regional fleet (A300) replacement. The deal will cost around USD$1.5-2 billion.

 

CI official only told the media that they're always looking at the aircraft (A330), but not yet decide when to order it. The A330 order is because it has A340 in its fleet.

 

The order probably include 8 firm orders, with up 12-16 if options included. Airbus has promised CI for attractive price.

 

CI was under pressure for the new order from Boeing, who asked Taiwanese Government for help. However, CI has promised that in the future freighter order, they'll order more B747-400F, and as for the super long-haul fleet, it'll consider Boeing's product first.

Ich denke mal die A330 sind als A300-Ersatz vorgesehen und werden innerhalb Asiens zum Einsatz gelangen.

Nach Aussagen von China Airlines am heutigen Montag soll noch keine Entscheidung getroffen worden sein zwischen A333 und B777.

Die Airbus-Order hätte ein Volumen zwischen 1,5 bis 2 Mrd. US-$.

wenn man schon A340 hat dann wäre es doch sinvoll auch den A330 zu nehmen.

natürlich, gar keine Zweifel -

aber China und Taiwan waren schon immer "politische" Märkte.

Das US-Handelsministerium dürfte wohl schon noch etwas Druck machen!

Als "Ausgleich" könnten dann im Frachter-Geschäft B744F oder B738 (Pax) geordert werden.
