September 2004 Michael O'Leary, the Ryanair boss, yesterday gave a typically robust response to calls from Charleroi airport for the low-fare airline to reimburse discounts deemed illegal by the European Union. Laurent Jossart, head of the airport which is Ryanair's Brussels base, told a Belgian newspaper that: "A letter is going to be sent shortly to Ryanair to ask it to repay an amount of about 4m (£2.7m)." Mr O'Leary said: "We haven't received any letter, but if we do I think it would get a pretty short reply. I think it would consist of two words - Foxtrot Oscar." He added: "Ryanair has spent much more than we have ever received from the Walloon region. We spent over 100m building the bloody base. We created their airport from nothing. So our reply will say we're paying nothing, love Mick." http://www.money.telegraph.co.uk/money/mai...xfrontcity.html Die Kommentare von MOL sind übrigens von einem Ryanair-Sprecher bereits wieder relativiert worden. Selbstverständlich werde man zahlen, wenn man müsse....
