Sitzplatzreservierung bei British Airways

Ich fliege in zwei Wochen mit BA LHR-ATH-LHR. Eigesetzt wird laut Flugplan eine 767. Weiss jemand, ob man dort Sitze reservieren kann (fliege in Business), oder ob das wie bei LH wegen der konvertiblen C/Y-Klasse nicht geht. Leider habe ich auch nirgendwo eine Seatmap gefunden (bei ba.com gibt es die für alle Flugzeuge ausser der 767). Ist dort die klassische 2-3-2 Bestuhlung oder wird auf den längeren Europaflügen eine andere Version eingesetzt ?

We understand that passengers want to be able to have seat assignments at the same time that their reservations are confirmed. With this in mind, we have implemented an enhanced seating policy making a proportion of seats available in most classes of service for pre-assignment on a first-come, first-served basis (this includes our World Traveller cabin).

 

- Travel agents and our own Telephone Sales staff have equal access to all pre-assigned seating.

 

- Preference is shown to those customers who are members of our Executive Club frequent traveller programme.

 

- We will also do our best, subject to availability, to accommodate any passengers who are traveling with infants or young children or who have a certified medical condition requiring a medical escort.

 

- Pre-seating in Euro Traveller is not available on any route at anytime (Euro Traveller is our European leisure product).

 

- Pre-seating in Club Europe from London's Heathrow and Gatwick airports is available except on flights to/from Jersy and Dublin.

London City Airport to Paris Charles De Gaulle is now also available for pre-seating in the Club Europe Cabin.

Pre-seating in Club Europe from any other UK airport is not available on the following routes: Paris Charles de Gaulle, Amsterdam, Luxembourg, Brussels, Jersey and Dublin.

 

- Pre-seating is available on the following UK domestic flights for Premier, Gold or Silver Executive Club members (or oneworld equivalent cardholders) travelling on fully flexible fares: London Heathrow and Gatwick to/from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Manchester. Newcastle pre-seating is available from/to Heathrow only.

 

 

As a point of information, a number of seats are blocked for special reasons. Airport staff are required by law to actually see the people given emergency exit seats to ensure that they can assist in an emergency. Therefore, these seats can only be assigned on departure. Bulkhead seats are held for passengers travelling with infants requiring bassinets. Of course, if any of these types of seats are still available when you check in, we will be glad to assign them to you upon request.

 

We needed to limit our advance seating in order to relieve problems experienced at our airport check-in desks. The new arrangements will provide greater availability of seats on day of departure for those requiring special attention, such as families with children, groups or elderly passengers.

 

British Airways has enhanced its website to allow you to add seat requests on ba.com, as relevant to your journey, through Manage My Booking.

Wobei man als Executive Gold member nie ein Problem hat, da wird der Sitz entsprechend den im Profil hinterlegten Präferenzen gebucht und gleich bestätigt.

 

C Class sollte aber auch ohne EXec Club gehen, halt nur nicht die besten Plätze.

Habe die Möglichkeit der Sitzreservierung auf ba.com gefunden - vielen Dank ! Das ist ja echt sehr praktisch dort. Die ersten 2 Reihen sind wohl immer geblockt für Gold ?!?

 

Im Profil hinterlege ich ungerne Sitzplatzwünsche: Auf kurzen Europaflügen am Tag sitze ich gerne mal am Fenster. Nach IST, ATH, LIS o.ä. finde ich Gang bequemer. Und wenn es dunkel ist, kann ich mir den Blick aus dem Fenster auch sparen

die erste Reihe bei BA ist immer für VIP's reserviert, Government etc. Ist keiner auf dem Flug geht es auf Gold usw., geht auch nach seniority, also wie lange man schon den Status hat. Mir persönlich gefällt die erste Reihe (Europe) nicht da zu wenig Beinfreiheit. Ansonsten bekommt man, wenn man die Wünsche hinterlegt hat, meistens das was man haben will. Auf Langstrecken z.B. 747 upper deck window, da hat man sein kleines Abteil und kann sich ausstrecken, und man sitzt(liegt) gegen die Flugrichtung.
