Ryanair fliegt nicht neu nach Santiago de Chile

Angeblich soll durchaus eine größere Zahl Passagiere (mehrere Hundert, will die Gerüchteküche wissen....) Tickets in dem Glauben gebucht haben, dass die neue Ryanair-Strecke nach Chile führt, deshalb diese Klarstellung von Ryanair:

SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA, NOT SANTIAGO CHILE

Ryanair, Europe’s No. 1 low fares airline today (Friday, 14th January 2005) advised its passengers that contrary to media reports in the Swedish press, Ryanair’s new flight from London Stansted goes to Santiago de Compostela in North West Spain and not to Santiago in Chile.

Speaking today, Peter Sherrard, Ryanair’s Head of Communications said:

“Ryanair’s new flight to Santiago de Compostela in North West Spain has recorded record levels of interest with almost 4,000 bookings recorded since the route was announced just three days ago! UK passengers have logged onto http://www.ryanair.com in their droves to book a flight to Santiago de Compostela for only €15.99*. However, we ask passengers to note that contrary to some incorrect media reports about this route, Santiago de Compostela is in the Galicia region of Spain and not in Chile.”
