Ground handling occurrence at Shanghai Pudong airport

 

Luxembourg, Shanghai, 25 January 2006 – A ground handling occurrence happened at Shanghai Pudong airport on Wednesday 25 January 2006.

A Cargolux aircraft Boeing B747-400F was damaged, when the nose gear retracted while the aircraft was being serviced on the ground. This happened at 0705 local time, while the handling agent was preparing the flight. The damage was mainly to the lower front area of the aircraft and needs to be further inspected.

 

There was no injury to any of the ground staff working on the aircraft.
