touchdown99 Geschrieben 17. November 2006 Melden Geschrieben 17. Tiger Airways, Singapore's only low fare airline, has announced an extensive marketing agreement with the Philippine’s SEAir, which will create the first Tiger Airways branded operations at an overseas base at Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) at Clark Field, Philippines. In a press briefing this afternoon, Tiger Airways and SEAir announced the Marketing Agreement that will enhance SEAir’s operations under the Tiger Airways brand name. SEAir will operate Tiger Airways branded flights from the new hub in DMIA, with bookings being made through the tigerairways.com website and distribution channels. The aircraft will initially service the Clark-Cebu and Clark-Davao routes and eventually Clark-Singapore-Clark and Clark-Macau-Clark routes. As part of the agreement, Tiger Airways will provide SEAir with access to two new Airbus A320 aircraft to be operated out of DMIA. Tiger Airways will also provide technical and operational experience based on its existing successful businessmodel. There is no change in the current shareholder or management structure of SEAir, which will continue to operate as an independent airline. This move marks a major milestone in the expansion of Tiger Airways flight network as it will increase significantly the number of destinations that can be offered on the tigerairways.com website. Tiger Airways expects to announce additional new hubs around the region soon, giving it the potential to expand its network exponentially in the Asia-Pacific region.
