UPDATE: flybe neu mit Boeing 733 ex BHX / mit neuer Basis in

Ab Februar mit Flügen von LPL nach BHD, ab März mit Flügen nach GLA und EDI, ab Mai nach JER. Binnen 12 Monaten sollen vier weitere Flughäfen in UK - darunter sicherlich EXT und SOU - sowie diverse französische Regionalflughäfen angeflogen werden.

 

Konkurrenz auf den neuen Strecken gibt es in LPL in Form der EZY nach BFS. EDI und GLA werden nur ex MAN vom bmi regional und BACX bedient. LPL mausert sich ganz schön. Neben der Easyjet-Basis fliegt auch Ryanair mittlerweile einige Ziele an. Jetzt noch zusätzlich flybe sowie seit Kurzem flyjem auf die IOM.

 

Vor zwei Wochen hatte flybe bereits neue Strecken von Exeter, Southampton und Birmingham nach Brest sowie von Southamtpon nach Cherbourg sowie von Birmingham nach Chambery angekündigt. Die Strecken SOU-DUB und LGGW-GCI werden um je einen täglichen Flug auf drei bzw. fünf tägliche Flüge aufgestockt.

 

flybe fliegt übrigens, anders als Ryanair, weiterhin nach La Rochelle, während dort die Piste saniert wird.

Ist es nicht sogar geplant, die gesamte Flotte auf die Dash 8 - 400Q zu reduzieren?

Nächster Expansionsschritt bei flybe:

 

Sieben neue Strecken ex BHX sowie Einführung von Boeing 737-300.

 

Neue Routen sind: Ab SF2005 Palma, Alicante, Murcia, Faro, Almeria, Malaga, ab WF 2005/2006 Genf.

 

Etwas verblüffend die gleichzeitige Bedienung von MJV und ALC, aber nun gut.

 

Zunächst sollen zwei Boeing 737-300 eingesetzt werden, wohl zunächst im wet-lease von Channex oder Astraeus. Bis 2006 soll die FLotte auf fünf Maschinen gebracht werden.

 

Und die nächste Expansion wird in der Gerüchteküche auch schon gehandelt: Neue Basis in Norwich mit Flügen u.a. nach Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool und Exeter.

 

Bisherige Basen sind, zur Erinnerung, BHX, SOU, EXT und BHD.

Fly BE setzt für Expansion auf Birmingham

Der frühere Regional Carrier Fly BE will zur Sommersaison 2005 auch in Birmingham kräftig wachsen. Sieben neue Strecken will die Low Cost Airline mit 150-sitzigen Jets bedienen: nach Alicante, Almeria, Faro, Genf, Malaga, Murcia und Palma.

 

Im September beförderte Fly BE, die sich als Europas drittgrößter Billigflieger bezeichnet, fast 400.000 Fluggäste. Das sind 30,5 Prozent mehr als zwölf Monate zuvor.

Flybe. announces 7 new routes, 430,000 extra seats at Birmingham International Airport

Flybe., Europe’s third largest low cost airline today announces seven new European routes from Birmingham International Airport, adding 430,000 seats into the market, taking its total seat capacity at Birmingham to two million seats. This consolidates flybe’s position as Birmingham’s largest single scheduled carrier.

 

Simultaneously flybe. is announcing that it will deploy its first ever 150 seat jet capacity – Boeing 737-300’s – to fly these routes from Birmingham. This confirms Birmingham as a major centre of operation for flybe.

 

Flybe. will offer these new services from Birmingham to Alicante, Malaga, Murcia, Faro, Palma, Almeria and Geneva. With prices starting from £39 all inclusive, tickets are on sale today at http://www.flybe.com (except Geneva which will be on sale in late June 2005). Flights to Spain and Portugal begin in March 2005.

 

The new routes follow hot on the heels of flybe.’s recent announcement of new French routes, and the addition of Liverpool John Lennon airport to its network of UK bases. This follows flybe.’s most successful year to date with the recent announcement of provisional profit figures for the financial year 2003/2004 of £3.1m.

 

Flybe.’s move is part of its ongoing commitment to providing an unrivalled low cost airline service to all the major regional population centres of the UK. The Midlands is a buoyant regional economy which flybe. expansion should help to grow further. The launch of the new routes out of Birmingham are part of flybe.’s ambitious summer schedule for 2005/6 which will be announced later this year and forms part of the airline’s overall strategy of continued investment and expansion of both its domestic and international route network.

So war es auch gemeint. Die Überschrift "neue Basis in LPL" bezieht sich auf meinen ersten Beitrag, "Boeing 737-300" auf das UPDATE und den nächsten Beitrag. Ist wohl nur verständlich, wenn man den ganzen Thread liest, deshalb habe ich die Überschrift jetzt editiert.
