zuerst eine kleine Korrektur: Galicien, mit "c" soll es heissen, denn Galizien, mit "z" ist in Polen. Die Spanier, die deutsch sprechen, sind etwas empfindlich diesbezüglich...

 

In der Tat, die Gerüchteküche brodelt schon seit einiger Zeit in Galicien - in einer Region, die bis jetzt nicht so toll an den Rest der Welt angeschlossen war. Und nachdem nun neue Verbinsungen ab 2005 angekündigt sind (Futura, Spanair, etc.), war es an der Zeit, dass auch etwas locomässig passiert. Wer auch immer es sein wird, wird sicherlich zum Aufschwung dieser wunderschönen Region beitragen.

easyJet comienza a operar en el aeropuerto de Asturias

 

easyJet anuncia el próximo inicio de sus operaciones en el aeropuerto de Asturias, que recibirá un vuelo diario de Londres a partir del próximo 20 de abril. Las plazas estarán a la venta próximamente en este sitio web a partir de 26,99€ por trayecto, tasas incluidas. El los próximos días se anunciará a que aeropuerto londinense se operarán estos vuelos.

 

La aerolínea confirma de este modo su interés por el destino turístico del Principado de Asturias, con quien lleva varios meses de conversaciones. Gracias a esta iniciativa se multiplican también las posibilidades de comunicación de Asturias, que además de vuelos a buen precio a la capital británica, tendrá a su disposición desde Londres todos los destinos de la red de easyJet, en total 59 aeropuertos europeos en Francia, Alemania, República Checa, Italia, Grecia, Dinamarca o Hungría, entre otros países.

 

El lanzamiento de esta ruta supondrá también un beneficio económico para la región, ya que la compañía espera transportar unos 90.000 pasajeros anuales y traer al Principado alrededor de 70.000 turistas al año.

 

easyJet ratifica así la gran confianza depositada en el potencial de Asturias como destino turístico, estando prevista también en 2005 la conexión con Berlín, así como a otros destinos de la red easyJet en el futuro. Asimismo, supone una paso más en la implantación de la compañía en España, ya que este nuevo vuelo al Principado se suma a otros iniciados durante el pasado otoño a Valencia y Almería, y también a la inauguración de otras nuevas rutas en los aeropuertos que ya operaba. En total, easyJet cuenta ya con 53 rutas desde 10 aeropuertos españoles a 12 destinos europeos.

easyJet announces two new routes - Stansted to Asturias and Luton to Grenoble

 

easyJet, Europe's leading low cost airline, today announced it would be expanding its operations from both London Luton and London Stansted Airports with the addition of two new routes. The daily service from Stansted to Oviedo Airport in Asturias will commence on Thursday 24th March, whilst the daily service from Luton to Grenoble will commence on Wednesday 20th April.

 

These new routes have been made possible by the transfer of the current daily Grenoble service from Stansted to Luton, allowing space in the schedule for the new Asturias service. Stansted passengers can still access the Rhone-Alps regions with the twice daily Lyon service, whilst Luton passengers now have a new exciting destination to choose from. The Stansted to Grenoble service will end on Tuesday 19th April and begin at Luton on Wednesday 20th April.

 

The province of Asturias is situated on the Bay of Biscay and surrounded by the Cordillera and Cantabrica mountain ranges. The region is renowned for its green landscapes, contrasting mountain peaks, stunning coastline with lovely beaches and colourful fishing villages. Throughout the towns of the region Romanesque and medieval sights can be found, whilst the Asturians also have a thriving cultural scene.

 

Grenoble is the gateway to the Alpine Crescent in the Rhone-Alps region and is a picturesque, lively and cosmopolitan city situated in a valley with panoramic views of the mountains. The Capital of the Alps, it is renowned for its great food, festivals and accessibility for skiing and cycling. The city and surrounding area is also an important centre for technological developments and the Alpine Crescent region is France's answer to Silicon Valley.
