Aeroflot and Alitalia have signed a code-sharing agreement Today the General Director of OJSC Aeroflot - Russian Airlines, Valery Okulov, and the President of the airline company Alitalia, Giancarlo Cimoli, signed a code-sharing agreement on the joint operation of the Moscow - Milan flights. This agreement will become effective on the 1st of June, 2005. The companies will be conducting 4 joint flights a week from Moscow to Milan and 3 joint flights a week from Milan to Moscow. Aeroflot is planning to make the flights on the А319 and А321 planes and Alitalia on А320. According to the agreement, each airline company will provide a share bloc of seats which will make up 125 seats in economy class and 16 seats in business class each week. In the future, the companies plan to freely sell tickets for the flights of both companies. This agreement will allow Aeroflot to increase its presence on the market of air carrying between Russia and Italy, to use the flights of the partner company more effectively by offering additional services to the passengers. This agreement with Alitalia is another step made by Aeroflot on its way to joining the international SkyTeam Airline Alliance. Aeroflot already has code-sharing agreements with 23 airline companies including Estonian Air, CSA, LOT, MALEV, Air France, Austrian Airlines, Cathay Pacific, etc.

April 2006 April 14, 2006 - SkyTeam announced that effective today global travelers will have direct access to an expanded network in Russia as Aeroflot officially becomes the alliance's tenth member. SkyTeam is the first global airline alliance to welcome a Russian carrier. With the addition of Aeroflot, SkyTeam will serve approximately 373 million passengers with nearly 15,000 daily departures to 728 global destinations in more than 149 countries. An official welcoming ceremony with key SkyTeam executives was held in Moscow.

April 2006 Nach derzeitigem Stand des Wissens bei den SU Bonus Leuten werden aber Meilen, die VOR dem Beitritt bei SU angesammelt wurden "for use on su flights only" sein. Nur Meilen, die nach dem SU Beitritt gesammelt wurden werden auf anderen Carriern nutzbar sein. Habe darufhin (nicht nur deswegen, wollte es sowieso) meine ganzen alten SU Bonuspunkte in 2xC nach SVO im SOmmer und 2xF nach HKG vor Weihnachten 06 "umgerubelt" und bin jetzt fast wieder bei null...
