easyJet adds seven NEW routes to network - Including Madeira

easyJet, Europe’s leading low-fares airline, today announced it would launch seven new routes this autumn, including routes to currently served destinations such as Lisbon and Krakow and the addition of Madeira to its network.

 

This expansion reflects the airline’s commitment to growth across the UK, to continue to connect its bases with a variety of attractive destinations and provide convenient, flexible, low fares to major destination airports, from a your local airport.

The addition of these new services increases the total number of easyJet routes to 307, across 80 airports in 22 countries.

Erst eine Strecke von Madrid nach Lyon, dann von Berlin nach Lyon, Rom - Lyon und nun von Barcelona nach Lyon. Kann es sein, dass U2 mit Lyon als nächste Base liebäugelt?

Mich erstaunt die Präsenz von U2 in LYS schon ein bisschen, da ich immer gedacht hatte, dass EZY den Markt Lyon schon von GVA abdeckt. Offenbar haben beide Airports genug Potential.

Mich würde eine Base dort nicht überraschen, ist Lyon nicht zweitgrößte Stadt Frankreichs?

FUN wundet mich schon sehr. Ist es nicht so, dass man für diesen Anflug eine spezielle Berechtigung haben muß und die Landung nicht vom CO durchgeführt werden durfte? Oder besteht diese Auflage seit der Verlängerung der Piste nicht mehr?

 

Da geht doch einigs an Flexibilität verloren, wenn man für FUN eigene Crews vorhalten muß.

Lt. Airliners.net wird die Strecke BOH - KRK mit einem A319 aus DTM im W-Pattern geflogen.

 

Hab es mal überprüft und es stimmt:

EZY auf LIS-FNC wäre extrem gut. Viele Businessgäste, wie ich hautnah sehen konnte. Meist fliegt TP mit A319 aber auch oftmals mit A310 von LIS dann gleich weiter nach AMS oder FRA, könnte auch ein Grund für die hohe Anzahl sein. FNC ist zudem sehr gut für LCC, da es noch zu Fuß zum Flieger geht (geringere Kosten dadurch).

Die Runway ist auch sehr cool gelegen, aber eben auch gefährlich.

 

EZY fliegt nicht nur Genf und Lyon an, sondern in der Region auch Grenoble an(NCE ist davon schon ein bisschen weiter weg).

Zudem Konkurrenz von FR in MRS. Also Potenzial scheint in der Region da zu sein.
