"EUROPEAN airline is to launch the first direct daily link to Munich from Scotland, it was announced today.

 

It is one of three routes from the Capital being offered by airline Duo, including Munich, a weekend link to Nice and a daily service to Birmingham, due to begin flying

in March.

 

The Birmingham-based firm got together with BAA Scotland and Scottish Enterprise to add the routes to their four other European destinations flying out of Edinburgh.

 

Fares to Munich and Nice will start at £69 each way inclusive of all taxes and charges. Birmingham fares will start at £29 each way inclusive of all taxes and charges.

 

Chief executive of Duo, Peter Spencer, said: "We are an airline with more routes from Scotland to Europe than any other company." "

 

 

 

Wie laufen eigentlich die Flüge von CGN nach BHX ? Sah letztens, als ich in CGN abflog, dass der Flug mit dem TXL-Dienst zusammengelegt worden war und das Routing BHX-CGN-TXL-BHX war....

TXL läuft glaube ich nicht mehr so gut, seit man das Abkommen mit BA gekündigt hat.

Ich bin mir auch nicht so ganz sicher wie sich VB positionieren will. Als Billigflieger ja eigentlich nicht - aber man kann sie nicht einmal über amadeus o.ä. buchen.

Bleibt wohl nur, auf die November Zahlen der CAA zu warten....

Mir fällt hier gleich noch was auf:

Wieso fliegen sie ausgerechnet BHX-EDI??

Man begibt sih in direkte Konkurenz zu BA und FlyBE. Und BA ist in der Tat billiger (ca 80€ return...)
