Flightstats - nun auch Tracking für europäische Flüge?

Huhu,

 

mir ist gerade aufgefallen, dass flightstats auch innereuropäische und innerdeutsche Flüge anhand der aktuellen Position mitloggt. Liegt dies an meiner aktuellen italienischen IP-Adresse oder klappt dies momentan auch auch bei deutschen Nutzern!?

Jo, also bei mir klappt es nach dem zwei Fehlversuche waren.

" You have selected a flight operating outside of US air space.

 

We are able to track many flights in Europe. However, we have less than 100% coverage. Our apologies if we can't find your flight. We will continue our quest for complete and reliable flight location data until we are able to track all commercial flights.

 

Flight tracking depends upon the cooperation of the airlines and the completeness and accuracy of the data they submit. As a result, we are not currently able to track flights from some airlines such as Lufthansa and British Midland.

 

Positional information is not generally available when flights are over an ocean and isn't yet available in regions other than the US, Canada, and Europe.

Anscheinend klappt es auch bei deutschen Nutzern. ;)

Ich beoachte hin und wieder Flüge von/ab NRN aus (PC in Deutschland) - die Funktion kenne ich aber schon seit etlichen Monaten. Allerdings funktioniert es nur bei ca. 20% der Flüge, dabei waren aber sowohl innerdeutsche als auch europäische (sowohl kontinental als auch in Richtung UK/IRL); beim Rest kommt eine Fehlermeldung.
