Dürfte davon abhängen, wann der erste tatsächlich für Iberia bestimmte A321 XLR ausgeliefert werden soll/sollte.

 

Aer Lingus hat inzwischen ab März 2025 neun tägliche TATL-Flüge mit A321neo LR geladen, obwohl man nur 8 A321neo LR in der Flotte hat. Das dürfte stark darauf hindeuten, dass einer der neun Flüge als A321neo XLR Route gedacht ist, das aber noch nicht öffentlich ersichtlich ist, da für alle Flüge derselbe Aircraft Code genutzt wird. 

Mal schauen, welcher Strecke also die Ehre zuteil wird, erste A321neo XLR Route zu sein.

We are currently undergoing a period of uncertainty on transatlantic services at our Manchester base.

To minimise customer disruption in the event of a closure of the Manchester base, which operates transatlantic flights from Manchester to New York, Orlando and Barbados, Aer Lingus is no longer selling transatlantic flights to/from Manchester for travel from 31 March 2026.

There is no impact on Aer Lingus or Aer Lingus Regional flights between Manchester and Ireland.

Nun offiziell. Die Langstreckenbasis in Manchester wird Ende März 2026 geschlossen und die Flüge nach Barbados, Orlando und New York JFK eingestellt.

Aer Lingus hat heute vor 90 Jahren ihren Erstflug durchgeführt. Aus diesem Grund wurde heute mit einer De Havilland DH-84 "Dragon" der Erstflug von Dublin nach Bristol nachgestellt.

Aer Lingus reduziert das Flugprogramm um 6% (u.a. werden Dublin - Denver, Las Vegas und Minneapolis/St. Paul eingestellt und Dublin - Frankfurt und Hamburg auf Summer seasonal Bedienung umgestellt) und kündigt Stellenstreichungen an. Damit möchte man eine operative Marge von 12% bis 15% erreichen (aktuell 11%), um den Ansprüchen von IAG zu genügen; 10 Airbus A330 bekommen in 2027 neue Sitze und eine Premium Economy Class.
